Very Xtra Old Fitzgerald is bottled at 10 years, instead of the standard 8 years. It is one of the first bottles of Very Extra Old Fitzgerald. The 10 year old bourbons were named “Very Xtra Old” starting in 1962. This bottle was distilled and bottled at the Stitzel-Weller distillery by the legendary Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle, as he was still running the distillery at this time before his soon-after retirement and passing.
