You can almost hear the heartbeat of whisky as Macallan lies in the central district of whisky making territory. This distillery which was built in 1824 near the river Spey in a tranquil Speyside setting is owned by Edrington & William Grant & Sons. Now Macallan 50 Years Old is most famous for being James Bond’s favourite dram so something special is truly happening behind the closed doors of this distillery which is magical. Macallan is a name in whisky that is held at the highest regard and delivers time and time again.
The Macallan Estate is an extremely special single malt containing rare spirit from a proportion of the barley grown at Easter Elchies estate, which is distilled just once a year over the course of a single week. The 485-acre Easter Elchies estate is set within the legendary Speyside region of Scotland. Its carefully tended barley fields are located on the banks of the River Spey, overlooked by The Macallan’s new award-winning distillery. The Macallan Estate is presented in a striking gift pack featuring a hand cut slate panel representative of the Scottish landscape. Inside, aerial photography showcases the estate’s impressive barley fields on the banks of the beautiful River Spey.
