Wm Cadenheads are the oldest independent bottler in Scotland which pretty much makes them one of the oldest in the world. They produce the most remarkable ‘never to be tasted again’ whiskies, rums and gins which are sourced from all over the world.
This small batch single grain whisky was distilled at the Strathclyde Distillery in Glasgow. Strathclyde distillery is located in the Gorbals on the south side of the River Clyde opposite Glasgow Green. It was built in 1927 to supply neutral grain spirit for its gins. Nowadays it produces the grain whisky for blends such as Chivas, Ballantine’s and Teachers.
The spirit was distilled in 1889 and bottled in 2018 after spending 28 years in two ex-Bourbon barrels. Bottled at55.8% abv and only 390 bottles were produced.
