Using the wisdom and the extraordinary skill of their Master Distiller Michael D’Souza, the six row barley that is sourced from foothills of Himalayas, the unique micro climate and the pure waters from Goa Paul John Single Malt is able to capture the wonderful aromas and flavours we would expect from our favourite whiskies.
Paul John whisky is oily with plenty of fruity notes, honey sweetness and also rather floral as well as creamy.
The Edited expression is a single malt bottled at 46% abv. Using 15% peated Scottish barely and 85% non peated Indian 6-row barley. It has been matured solely in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and bottled non chill-filtered at cask strength.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Toasted barely and caramel notes. Digestive biscuits with lemon icing sugar and sea vegetables. Slight smoke and toasty char.
Palate: Homemade porridge, a drizzle of honey and poached fruits leading to oak and icing sugar.
Finish: Chocolate and espresso, oak leads to liquorice root and citrus
