Formed in 1876 and for years better known as Glenlossie-Glenlivet Distillery Co.. It produces 2.7 million litres of malt whisky annually which are mainly used for blends such as Haig Dimple and Haig Gold Label. The distillery is located south of Elgin in the Speyside region which has an abundance of distilleries. The water source is the local Bardon Burn. Glenlossie as a single malt is generally only found bottled by independent bottlers and most are absolute gems, keep an eye out particularly if you enjoy a fruity, oily, smooth dram.
This single cask whisky was distilled in 1997 at the Glenlossie Distillery. It was placed in an ex-bourbon cask and left to mature for 18 years. In November 2015 it was bottled at 53.1% abv by the Rest & Be Thankful Whisky Co.
Only 295 bottles were produced for worldwide distribution.
