Buffalo Trace O.F.C. is a rare and collectible bourbon brand that comes from the O.F.C. Distillery, now known as Buffalo Trace Distillery. The O.F.C. stands for Old Fashioned Copper, a name given to the distillery in 1870 by Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. The distillery is a National Historic Landmark in Frankfort, Kentucky, and is known for its copper fermentation vats, column stills, and steam heating system. 

O.F.C. bourbon is sourced from barrels of yesteryear and bottled in hand-cut crystal decanters with copper lettering. Each bottle is vintage dated and comes in a wooden display box. Some tasting notes for O.F.C. bourbon include: 

Cherry cordial, Caramel, Slightly smoked-oak, Dark chocolate, Tobacco leaves, Dates, Leather, Black pepper, and Cinnamon.
The first release of O.F.C. Vintages was made up of 200 bottles from 1980, 1982, and 1983, which were given to non-profit organizations at no cost. Subsequent vintages have been released from years including 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993, and 1994.
