The bottler is Douglas Laing an independent bottler of fine Scotch whisky established in 1948. The concept is to enable whisky lovers around the world a chance to come as close as they can to sampling whisky as it was straight from the cask or having a whisky experience like no other.
The Benrinnes Distillery first produced spirit back in 1826 and was known originally between 1974 and 2007 for producing a partially triple distilled spirit. The distillery itself has been through a tough time, fires and floods have meant it has been rebuilt a number of times and been through a few owners. The distillery is now owned by Diageo and it is used for their well known blends. It was first well known though for producing spirit for use in Crawford’s blended whiskies and was known for its 15 year old vintage.
Thisfifteen year old single malt whisky was distilled back in November 2004 and set aside to mature in a refill hogshead. Only 328 bottles were produced at 48.4% ABV by Douglas Laing Independent bottlers. Part of the Old Particular single cask range.
